Ayana Harper, a 2014 MFA graduate of EICAR, the International Film School of Paris, is a passionate editor who believes that the real magic of film happens in the cutting room.

 

Born in France, to Trinidadian parents, she is bilingual and would describe herself as a "Euro-Trini", fully embracing both cultures. At EICAR's annual film screenings held at the Cinémathèque Française, she won the Best Editing award in 2013 and was co-editor of the short film She Walks which won Best Film in 2014. Most recently, Amontillado, a film she edited as part of her thesis was selected as part of the Cannes Short Film Corner (2015). 

 

She is also the editor and a proud member of The Caribbean Film Academy  (CaFA).
